Tony Stuart and Aaron Badgley travel in their trustworthy vehicle and look at the week that was in music history. Again, it is a real mixed bag of music, styles and artists. Sunday, we visit the birth of Leonard Chess (of Chess records) and the birth of a new rock band, The Velvet Underground. Monday, we celebrate U2’s Adam Clayton’s birthday and we look at The Pistols taking a stance with The Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame. On Tuesday there is a landmark chart in the UK and on Wednesday we celebrate DJ Fontana’s birthday and his impact on the history of rock and we visit with The Doobie Brothers. Thursday, it is Nancy Wilson’s birthday and Friday Jimi Hendrix Experience release a single named “Purple Haze”. And then it is Saturday, and it gives us the chance to talk about The Clash and Wilson Pickett. And on the eighth day we look at The Beatles first Capitol album in the U.S. and Elvis finds himself a manager.
