We also celebrate the birth of David Johansen, of The New York Dolls. Tuesday, and we and Cyndi Lauper achieves something that had not been done for almost 20 years. on Wednesday, we look at Led Zeppelin returning to the concert stage. Thursday, sees the first time The Police play together, with a different guitarist. It isn’t anything new, but on Friday, January 13, 1984 the BBC announces another ban, while the next day, on January 14, 1984, Paul McCartney achieves something no other artist has ever done.
