You’re gonna make it after all. Tonight show is dedicated to the late Mary Tyler Moore who sadly passed away two days ago at the age of 80. Lots of memories flooding back I remeber watching her both in the Dick van Dyke show and of course as Mary Richards on the Mary Tyler Moore show. You could always count on her to make my family smile from the warm Minneapolis glow radiating on our TV set. My little latchkey self running home and feeling warm and protected as I watched reruns and laughed away any adolescent issues I might’ve had that day. Her role as Timothy Hutton’s strict mother in the movie Ordinary People was so good you forgot all about “loveable Mare” and for those next two hours in the theatre felt at odds growing to hate that woman on screen , against your better judgement. That’s how good of an actress Mary Tyler Moore was. You will be missed.
